About The Position
DYBA is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Head Softball Coach to lead either a 10U or 12U travel softball team for the upcoming season. This is an excellent opportunity for a coach who is passionate about player development, creating a positive team culture, and helping young athletes build confidence and a love for the game. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, organized leader, and positive role model who values both athletic and personal growth.
Requirements
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Passion for developing young athletes both on and off the field.
- Reliable, energetic, and committed throughout the season.
Nice To Haves
- Previous softball playing and/or coaching experience preferred.
- Experience working with youth athletes is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate practices focused on skill development.
- Coach games while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and a competitive mindset.
- Teach softball fundamentals, game strategy, and player development.
- Foster a positive, encouraging environment where athletes can build confidence and improve.
- Communicate professionally with players, families, and program leadership.
- Help create a fun, organized, and rewarding experience for every athlete.
Benefits
- $3,000 seasonal stipend
- $25/hour for winter training
