About The Position

Responsible for rapidly counting large sums of money accurately and collecting bill validator boxes, while ensuring the safety of funds processed. This role involves working in a close-knit team environment to perform count and drop functions, requiring good manual dexterity and attention to detail. The team member will operate currency counters, count daily receipts from gaming and retail operations, and prepare strapped currency and chips for transfer to the vault. They will also sort, count, and record contents of various drop boxes according to set procedures, balance funds, and balance daily reports. Key duties include pulling and replacing table game and poker boxes, securing necessary keys for slot drops, and performing slot drops by pulling and replacing cash/ticket boxes throughout the floor on all player terminals, redemption centers, and currency recyclers. The role also involves cleaning and maintaining the soft count room, equipment, and drop carts, and operating equipment such as 10 keys, coin counters, and vacuums, which may involve repetitive key turning. Ensuring the control and protection of company assets and the ability to differentiate denominations of chips and authenticity of currency are critical. Maintaining a good attendance record is also a responsibility.

Requirements

  • Six months experience handling large sums of money preferred.
  • Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft programs and other computer software.
  • Adding machine, computer terminal operation, and currency counting machine skills are preferred.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical solutions.
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Skill in solving practical problems and dealing with situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of general business administration including personnel practices and employment laws, general accounting practices.
  • Skill in identifying and resolving administrative problems under pressure conditions.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Obtain and maintain [License or Work Permit Level].
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
