About The Position

CeLeen, an operating firm of Command Holdings, is seeking SOF Exercise Designers to support Special Operations Command Pacific (SOCPAC) headquartered at Camp H.M. Smith in Hawaii. The SOF Exercise Designers provide exercise planning and scenario development. Exercise planning and scenario development is essential for Table Top Exercises (TTXs), Command Post Exercises, Senior Leader Seminars, Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercises, and Field Training Exercises, to achieve the stated objectives of the commander. The SOF Exercise Designers conduct front-end analysis by reviewing current operational directives, standing contingency plans, and conceptual approaches. They will create scenarios to stress decision-making, capabilities, joint warfighting functions and address the operational and tactical issues within the Indo-Pacific environment. The designers will contribute to development of the Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) for operations based or complex discussion-based exercises and attend all Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) events. Multiple positions may be hired from this announcement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of directly related military experience OR 15 years of directly related military experience.
  • Current, active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Special operations experience.
  • Experience in exercise and scenario design and management.
  • Experience conducting joint and coalition operations and training.
  • Experience with Service, SOF, and Joint doctrine, planning, operations, training, and exercises.
  • Experience communicating exercise design details with operational level exercise planners, staffs, and commanders; interagency partners, and partner nation exercise planners.
  • Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
  • Professional proficiency in English is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver’s license (proof of which will be required after hire) and ability to qualify for and maintain company liability insurance through a clean driving record.
  • Ability to access federal facilities in compliance with Real ID.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience directly supporting SOCPAC and understanding theater-specific operations, joint SOF operations, and mission-focused readiness.
  • Prior SOF (O4-O6/E7-E9/CW3-CW5).
  • Completion of Service or Joint Senior Professional Military Education or Enlisted equivalent preferred.
  • 4 years of experience developing operational products to support GCC and TSOC SOF/CT exercises.
  • 4 years of experience researching and integrating current operations to develop complex scenarios, studies, and analysis related to SOF core activities for all geographic areas.
  • 4 years of experience communicating exercise design details with operational level exercise planners, staffs, and commanders; interagency partners, and partner nation exercise planners.
