About The Position

Family of Kidz is hiring and has immediate openings for a Social Worker (LMSW, LCSW or LMHC) in Westbury, NY. This role involves working with children in an engaging and high-energy environment. The position is part-time, fee-for-service, with hours available after school and on weekends. Family of Kidz has been dedicated since 1998 to helping children with special needs, from birth to adulthood, by focusing on understanding each child's needs and teaching skills for greater independence and an enhanced quality of life.

Requirements

Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
Minimum of (1) year experience working in a setting focusing on supporting children and their families
Background in Behavior Therapy preferred
Cognitive-behavioral therapy trained preferred
Training in child development highly preferred
Bilingual is a plus

Responsibilities

Provide individual cognitive-behavioral counseling to children and adolescents.
Provide group counseling to children and adolescents.
Provide parent training and counseling.
Conduct assessments and social history.
Develop and plan individualized interventions and evidence-based treatment.
Collaborate with school staff and other personnel in implementing strategies to promote learning.
