The Social Worker provides assessment, direct therapy intervention, and consultative services to support the social and emotional development of children ages birth to three through Indiana’s Early Intervention Program, First Steps. This role involves educating and counseling families and caregivers on parent-child interaction, social skill development, and connecting families with community resources. The Social Worker collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to help meet the outcomes outlined in the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and supports families in maximizing the benefits of early intervention services.
