About The Position

MECA is seeking a compassionate and skilled Social Worker to join our Early Intervention team supporting children from birth to age 3 with diagnosed developmental conditions. This role provides meaningful, relationship-based services delivered directly in home and community settings, helping families build skills, access resources, and support healthy child development during critical early years. This is a highly impactful position ideal for clinicians who are passionate about pediatric social work, early intervention, family counseling, and community-based practice. What You Will Do As an Early Intervention Social Worker, you will: Provide social-emotional developmental evaluations for infants and toddlers within the family context Deliver individualized counseling and family support services in home and community settings Conduct home visits to assess parent-child interaction and environmental needs Develop evidence-based recommendations and intervention strategies Coordinate community, medical, and supportive resources for families Participate in IFSP meetings, transition planning, and interdisciplinary team collaboration Complete timely, accurate evaluation reports and daily documentation Support families in achieving developmental and functional goals Collaborate with therapists and early intervention professionals across disciplines Why This Role Matters This position directly impacts a child’s most critical developmental years. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Work (Required)
  • Active New Mexico Social Work Licensure (Required)
  • Experience in social work, family services, or pediatric/early childhood settings preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and assessment skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently in home and community environments
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to build rapport with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems and electronic documentation
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel to home and community visits during working hours
  • Commitment to HIPAA compliance and ethical standards of care
  • Maintain 90% productivity standards
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 30 therapy hours per week (full-time equivalent)
  • Ensure timely completion of documentation and service delivery
