About The Position

The Social Worker will have primary responsibility for coordinating all psychosocial community services under the general direction of the Behavioral Health Supervisor. This role involves implementing community educational programs, assessing problems, determining appropriate treatment methods, and implementing intervention strategies. The Social Worker will also act as a Program Consultant to staff members, providing support in areas such as counseling, protective services, and family services, all in accordance with TCC standards of practice and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or an acceptable related field
  • Required NYS registration and license to practice
  • Self-starter, capable of managing staff and giving directions to others and working under pressure
  • Experience working on computers and electronic medical records
  • Knowledgeable of HIPAA and confidentiality policy and procedures
  • Familiarity with and sensitivity to Hispanic culture, family customs and child rearing practices
  • Familiarity with multicultural groups
  • Previous work experience in a multicultural setting
  • Willingness to enroll language and multicultural coursework to supplement training if necessary

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an ambulatory health center preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required
  • LCSW preferred, but not required
