Requirements

• Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Certified Social Worker (CSW)
• A master's degree in social work.
• NOTE: Permanent status will not be granted in this job title without LMSW or LCSW licensure in Louisiana; Certified Social Worker (CSW) credential will not be accepted for granting permanent status.

Responsibilities

• Provides psychiatric social work assistance to persons with co-occurring mental health and substance disorders and their families.
• Collaborates with the CAHSD psychiatrist and other healthcare professionals in diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Provides direct and indirect counseling services, including individual, group and family treatment to children and adults with co-occurring disorders ranging from age six to adulthood.
• Completing the necessary clinical requirements for insurance authorization.
• Screen calls for admission, determine of client’s meet admission criteria, schedule clients for orientation group and/or refer to other community agencies.
• Attend Interdisciplinary staff and staffing meetings as well as supervisory meetings.
• Provide statistical reports as required by the facility manager.
