About The Position

Ampersand Therapy is hiring School Social Workers to support students in an elementary school near Golden, CO. In this role, you’ll provide individual and group social-emotional support, collaborate with school teams and families, and help students navigate academic, behavioral, and social challenges. You’ll work closely with educators and other specialists while receiving support from a therapist-owned and operated company. This position is for the 2026-2027 school year and starts in August 2026.

Requirements

• Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) School Social Worker license/credential
• Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to support student mental health and social-emotional development
• Support crisis intervention, de-escalation, and safety planning as needed
• Participate in IEP, MTSS, and student support team meetings
• Conduct assessments related to social-emotional and behavioral needs
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers
• Support attendance, engagement, and wraparound services for students and families
• Assist in developing and implementing intervention plans
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation
• Connect families to community resources and supports
