About The Position

The Social Worker provides compassionate support and guidance to individuals and families facing complex challenges. The role includes conducting psychosocial assessments, developing care plans, providing counseling and crisis intervention, and connecting clients to resources. The Social Worker advocates for clients and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic support and promote well-being.

The position assesses clients’ psychosocial status in relation to their illness and environment, communicates findings to the registered nurse, and conducts social evaluations to plan interventions. It also involves maintaining clinical records, providing information and referrals to clients and families or caregivers regarding environmental needs, and sharing information with clients, families, caregivers, and community agencies. The Social Worker markets and promotes agency programs and events in the local community.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a school of social work accredited by the Council of Social Work Education.
• Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker (SWORKER:ND).
• North Dakota driver’s license.
• Auto insurance.
• Basic Life Support (CPR).
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, empathy, knowledge of community resources, and crisis management abilities.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of healthcare experience.
• Master Social Worker: ND.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients’ psychosocial status related to their illness and environment, and communicate findings to the registered nurse.

• Maintain clinical records for all clients referred to social work.
• Provide information and referral services to clients and families or caregivers regarding environmental needs.
• Provide information to clients, families or caregivers, and community agencies.
• Market and promote agency programs and events in the local community.
• Provide counseling and crisis intervention, connect clients to resources, advocate for clients, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
