About The Position

Fairmount Behavioral Health System is a therapeutic environment for children, adolescents, and adults with psychiatric and behavioral problems, as well as alcohol and drug dependency needs. Located on a 27-acre campus bordering Fairmount Park in Philadelphia, it offers one of the leading alcohol and drug detox and rehab programs in the region, specializing in co-occurring psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment. The system is currently seeking a day shift/weekend PRN Social Worker/Case Manager. This role involves providing clinical social work and case management services on a designated unit, adhering to the standards of Fairmount Behavioral Health System, NASW, and the Pennsylvania licensing board. Responsibilities include psychosocial assessments, individual, group, and family therapy, treatment team planning, processing commitments, discharge planning, crisis intervention, and serving as a liaison with referral sources and other hospital departments.

Requirements

Master’s Degree in a Behavioral Healthcare field required.
Knowledge of case management, discharge planning, age-specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, individual and family therapy theory and practice, and behavioral health/substance use.
Prior experience working with a psychiatric behavioral health population between 1-3 years required.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Social Work preferred.
PA License preferred.
3-5 years of experience working with a psychiatric behavioral health population preferred.

Responsibilities
