About The Position

Reporting to the Director, Mental Health & Addictions Services, the incumbent will provide a full range of clinical mental health services to children and adolescents, and their families. Duties include intake, assessment and formulation of treatment plans, therapy with individuals, families and groups. Travel throughout the Health Region is required. Position is field hours and may involve evening and weekend shifts in order to meet client and program needs.

Requirements

  • Clinical Experience in mental health setting
  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) or Master of Social Work (MSW)
  • Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
  • Basic - Writing skills
  • Basic - Conflict resolution skills
  • Basic - Computer skills
  • Basic - Verbal communication skills
  • Basic - Interpersonal skills
  • Basic - Presentation skills
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Knowledge in applicable Acts
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of community programs/services
  • Knowledge in harm reduction in Addictions Medicine
  • Ability to work and communicate in a cross cultural setting
  • Knowledge in community resources and services in the clinical area
  • Knowledge in various mental health and addiction and harm reduction strategies
  • Knowledge in conflict resolution techniques
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge in various intervention strategies for individuals and groups
  • Knowledge in recovery philosophy

Responsibilities
