About The Position

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Part-Time School Social Worker in Tinley Park, IL for the 2026-2027 school year. This role is with a local, women and therapist-founded company that understands the school-based experience. The position is part-time, 3 days per week, at an elementary school, with hours from 7:40 am to 2:40 pm. Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
• Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement
• Experience in schools or special education is a plus
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a major asset but not required
• Passion for inclusive, student-centered support and school collaboration

Responsibilities

• Provide IEP counseling services and social-emotional support
• Attend and participate in IEP meetings
• Complete IEP documentation and progress reports
• Collaborate with school-based special education teams

• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to a collaborative school culture
