About The Position

New York-Presbyterian/Queens, located in Flushing, Queens, is a community teaching hospital affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine. We are seeking a Social Worker for our Inpatient Units. This role provides a variety of psychosocial services, coordinates discharge planning and continuum of care for patients and families, and assists them in enhancing their coping mechanisms with illness and daily functioning. This is a day shift position, Monday – Friday with rotating weekends.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)
• New York State License as a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW)
• At least one year of inpatient Medical/Surgical experience
• Discharge Planning experience
• Must live within a commutable distance to NYP.
