About The Position
New York-Presbyterian/Queens, located in Flushing, Queens, is a community teaching hospital affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine. They are seeking a Social Worker for their Inpatient Units to provide a variety of psychosocial services, coordinate discharge planning and continuum of care for patients and families. The role aims to assist patients in enhancing their coping mechanisms with illness and daily functioning. This is a full-time, day shift position (8 AM - 4 PM), Monday – Friday, with rotating weekends.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)
- New York State License as a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW)
- At least one year of inpatient Medical/Surgical experience
- Discharge Planning experience
- All roles require on-site presence
- Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP
