About The Position

The Retreat at Sheppard Pratt consists of a 22-bed residential program renowned for its expert care. It is designed for patients seeking a comprehensive evaluation and intensive treatment experience in a psychotherapeutic milieu, unencumbered by third-party payment policies, to help residents make meaningful progress toward recovery. The Retreat offers an elegantly appointed setting in a specially renovated space on Sheppard Pratt's main campus in Towson, MD. Residents typically stay for several weeks to several months. The Retreat embodies a multi-disciplinary treatment approach for various psychiatric conditions, including mood disorders, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, and co-occurring disorders with substance-use disorders, all treated safely and effectively in a voluntary, unlocked environment.

Requirements

• Must possess one of the following Maryland licenses at time of hire: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical (LCSW-C), Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC), or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).
• 2 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Providing individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Offering supportive counseling and monitoring progress towards treatment goals.
• Collaborating with treatment team members to communicate patient progress and contribute to treatment planning and aftercare planning processes.
• Participating in family meetings and collaborative care sessions as needed to support holistic patient care.
