Hybrid Social Worker / Therapist - San Mateo
About The Position
As the Social Worker / Therapist on our team, you'll play a key role in supporting youth and family by providing clinical guidance and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure well rounded care at every step of the way. You will work on case planning, utilize your curiosity to identify the needs of youth and families, and offer insight on casework. You will be responsible for completing intake assessment, treatment plans, and incident reports in a timely manner. This Kaiser Wraparound program is a partnership between Kaiser Permanente and Seneca, providing behaviorally focused mental health services to children and families. The program aims to provide children and their families with the support and services they need for children to maintain the lowest level of care possible and avoid out of home placements (group homes, juvenile hall, and hospitalization). Team members work with children and families providing services for the case load of 8 -10 clients almost exclusively in the community: in families’ homes, schools, other community locations within San Mateo County.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Counseling/Social Work/Psychology
- Registered with California BBS: ASW, AMFT, APCC, or full licensed
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work some evenings and weekend hours as needed
- Be part of a rotating emergency on-call system, scheduled ahead of time
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies’ insurance policy
- TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements

Responsibilities
- Identify engagement needs for each youth and family as needed and work with Wraparound team members to build connections for family
- Provide assistance in case planning and consultation to team members on clinical issues, as well as casework issues, as appropriate
- Provide individual or family therapy when indicated
- Participate in 24 hours on call support line system
- Maintain availability for crisis intervention services
- Participate in individual and/or group supervision
- Function as team clinical leader for respective caseload, and uphold the principles of the wraparound program
- Complete mental health notes, assessments, treatment plans, outcome measures, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner
