This position is responsible for providing social service functions in the behavioral health care setting. It involves providing assessments, treatments, and case management to patients and families. The Social Worker also acts as a resource person to healthcare professionals concerning psycho-social problems and community resources. The role includes maintaining performance improvement activities within the department and participating in CQI activities. All individuals are responsible to perform their job in light of the Mission & Values of the Health System, ensuring that the values of Respect, Compassion, Justice, Hospitality, Holistic Approach, Stewardship and Collaboration are present in interactions and services.

Requirements

  • Current license to practice as a Social Worker in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Masters Degree in Social Work
  • Two or more years of previous experience in all aspects of social services with an emphasis in individual, group and family therapy
  • One hour of annual stroke education
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • License in Social Work in the state of Pennsylvania
