The HVIP (Hospital-linked Violence Intervention Program) Mental Health Provider plays a key role in supporting violently injured patients through community-based mental health services. This position involves working with hospital and community resources to strengthen violence intervention efforts in Indianapolis. The provider collaborates with a multidisciplinary team—including medical social workers, trauma program staff, and community partners—to deliver trauma-informed, evidence-based mental health services, including cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused CBT, EMDR, and aggression replacement therapy. The provider will develop individualized care plans, coordinate follow-up, and recommend additional services for patients and their families. This is community-facing work, primarily based on referrals from the Emergency Departments and trauma departments at Riley Hospital.
