Person County Department of Social Services is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and skilled Social Worker III to join our Child Welfare Services Unit in the Foster Care Program. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, permanency, and well-being of children and families involved in the child welfare system. The primary goals of this worker are to work with parents, children and foster parents in trying to reunify the family and to work with families when a permanent plan has been accomplished and after-care services are indicated.
Requirements
- Master's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work; OR Bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work and completion of the Child Welfare Collaborative (Child Welfare positions only); OR Bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited school of social work and one year directly related experience; OR Master's degree in a human services field and one year of directly related experience; OR Bachelor's degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university and two years directly related experience; OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three years of directly related experience.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
- Must be able to provide proof of your eligibility to work in the US within 3 days of the start of your employment with the County.
