Social Worker II - Behavioral Health (Temp)
About The Position
Paradise Valley Hospital is seeking a Social Worker II to provide behavioral health services to patients and their significant others. The role provides emotional support, crisis intervention, counseling, information and referrals, and assistance accessing financial and other supportive services for problems related to hospitalization, illness, disability, or trauma. The Social Worker II provides case and milieu management, completes psychosocial assessments, helps develop and reevaluate treatment plans, and coordinates discharge planning as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role also requires completing documentation and maintaining a clinical record for each client during their stay. Services may support pediatric, adolescent, adult, and older adult patients.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Professional Clinical Counseling.
- Where licensure is required by the state, obtain licensure upon hire and maintain it according to state regulations.
- At least one year of inpatient or outpatient experience emphasizing mental health care.
- Experience working with a diverse population and a wide range of problems, such as death and dying, maternal and childcare, substance abuse, disability, and chronic illness.
