Social Worker I - Behavioral Health
About The Position
The Social Worker I provides emotional support, crisis intervention, counseling, information and referrals, and referrals for financial assistance and supportive services to patients and families dealing with issues related to treatment, illness, disability, or trauma. The role includes case and milieu management, completing psychosocial assessments, assisting with the development and re-evaluation of treatment plans, contributing as a member of an interdisciplinary team, and coordinating discharge planning. The Social Worker completes required documentation and maintains a clinical record for each client throughout their stay. This part-time position is in the Outpatient Behavioral Health Department at Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. The schedule is 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with no weekends. Compensation is estimated at $28.42 to $41.17 per hour; the exact offer depends on factors including skills, applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or another related field.
- Current registration as an intern with the Board, as appropriate to education and licensing requirements.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or a related field.
- At least one year of inpatient or outpatient Behavioral Health experience.
- Spanish-speaking ability.
Responsibilities
