About The Position

The Social Worker I provides emotional support, crisis intervention, counseling, information and referrals, and connections to financial assistance and supportive services for patients and families facing issues related to hospitalization, illness, disability, or trauma. The role provides case and milieu management, completes psychosocial assessments, helps develop and reevaluate treatment plans, and works as part of a multidisciplinary team to coordinate discharge planning. The Social Worker I completes required documentation and maintains a clinical record for each client throughout their stay.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
• Current registration as an intern with the Board, as appropriate to education and licensing requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of one year of inpatient or outpatient behavioral health experience.
• Current BCLS certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
• Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or a related field.

Responsibilities
