About The Position

Saint Michael's Medical Center is seeking a Social Worker I to support patients and families experiencing challenges related to hospitalization, illness, disability, or trauma. The role provides emotional support, crisis intervention, counseling, information and referrals, and referrals for financial assistance and supportive services. The Social Worker I provides case and milieu management, completes psychosocial assessments, assists with developing and reevaluating treatment plans, and works as part of a multidisciplinary team to coordinate discharge planning. The role also requires completing necessary documentation and maintaining a clinical record for each client throughout their stay.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or another related field.
Current registration as an intern with the Board, as appropriate to education and licensing requirements.
Complete Behavior Violence Prevention within three months of hire and maintain current certification annually.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of inpatient or outpatient behavioral health experience.
Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained current.
Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or a related field.
