BH Social Worker I - Psych Acute
About The Position
This is a Mental Health Counselor position. The role involves providing emotional support, crisis intervention, counseling, information and referral services, and referrals for financial assistance and supportive services to patients and families facing challenges related to treatment, illness, disability, or trauma. Responsibilities include case management, milieu management, completing psychosocial assessments, assisting in the development and re-evaluation of Treatment Plans, collaborating as a member of an interdisciplinary team, and coordinating discharge planning. The position also requires completing necessary documentation and maintaining clinical records for each client.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or other related required.
- Current registration an intern with Board, as appropriate to education and licensing requirements.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Nice To Haves
- Masters in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor or related field, preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year Inpatient or Outpatient Behavioral Health experience preferred.
