About The Position
Provides social work services to patients and their families of Lankenau Medical Associates (may include: geriatrics, adults, adolescents, children, neonates, prenatal care) to enhance their use of medical care and to address the psychosocial and cultural issues associated with illness, treatment, and continuity of care. As a faculty member of the family practice resident program, provides education and support to medical interns.
Requirements
- Master's Degree from an accredited School of Social Work.
- Extensive knowledge of community resources.
- Experience in teaching through in-services, presentation, classroom or video.
Nice To Haves
- Five years practice experience in health care setting preferred.
- Current licensed Social Worker in the state of Pennsylvania preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides social work services to patients and their families of Lankenau Medical Associates to enhance their use of medical care and to address the psychosocial and cultural issues associated with illness, treatment, and continuity of care.
- Provides education and support to medical interns as a faculty member of the family practice resident program.
- Become engaged by joining hospital & system-wide Committees, Unit Councils, evidence-based research projects, and precepting new staff.
