About The Position

Join Southcoast Health, a not-for-profit, charitable, health system with multiple hospitals, clinics and facilities throughout Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. We are searching for a talented Social Worker-Counselor-Lic Indep to provide behavioral health and complex care management services to patients across the hospital system. This role involves conducting behavioral health assessments, providing individual and family psychotherapy, and serving as a consultant to hospital staff. You will also collaborate with complex/chronic care management and community support services.

Requirements

A Masters Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited college or university.
Demonstrated ability to perform as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Current Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work (LICSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) is required.
BLS certification is required within three (3) months of hire.
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Nice To Haves

Experience with electronic medical record documentation preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs a wide variety of duties in the hospital setting providing behavioral health and complex care management services to Southcoast Health patients across the hospital system.
Conducting behavioral health assessments and providing behavioral health treatment including individual and family psychotherapy utilizing brief treatment modalities.
Serves as a consultant and resource to hospital staff in the management and treatment of behavioral health disorders.
Collaborates and coordinates with complex/chronic care management and longitudinal community support services.
