About The Position

The Clinical Social Worker is responsible for facilitating therapeutic group sessions within the Hope and Wellness Center treatment mall program. The Clinical Social Worker develops and implements group-based interventions utilizing evidenced-based modalities and techniques. This position must exercise clinical judgement to continually assess the needs of group participants, monitor group dynamics and adapt interventions as needed to target various treatment goals. This position monitors and documents on participants’ responses, performance, and progress towards goals outlined in the comprehensive treatment plan. This position may also serve on a variety of Hope and Wellness Center and/or hospital wide committees and workgroups.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an appropriately accredited school of social work.
  • Licensure required from NC SW Certification and Licensure Board.
  • Must fulfill all requirements for Licensure in North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as required by the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of social work principles, techniques, and practices, and their application to inpatient psychiatric treatment
  • Ability to apply DSM-5 criteria and knowledge of psychopathology to assess and develop evidence-based, clinically therapeutic interventions in a group therapy setting.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with adult patients exhibiting a wide range of cognitive capacities.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective therapeutic relationships with diverse patient populations and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members
