About The Position

VIVA HEALTH is seeking a Social Worker, Care Manager, Behavioral Health in Birmingham, Alabama. The position evaluates members’ needs and requirements to help them achieve or maintain optimal wellness and guides members and their families to resources appropriate for their care and wellbeing. The role collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to manage members’ psychosocial health, physical concerns, and environmental issues using a variety of strategies and approaches. The position works with behavioral health panels for utilization management, performs fieldwork outside the office, and collaborates with mental health providers to promote members’ compliance with treatment regimens. Travel within the VIVA HEALTH service area is required using reliable transportation insured in accordance with company policy. The role may involve significant face-to-face member contact, with duties regularly performed away from the principal place of business. Requirements

Master of Social Work (MSW).
Three years of experience in social work.
Current LMSW license in good standing with the State of Alabama.
Valid driver’s license in good standing.
Reliable transportation insured in accordance with Company policy.
Willingness to submit to vaccine testing and screening.
Background in behavioral health.
Knowledge and comprehensive clinical assessment skills for chronic psychiatric disease management in adult populations.
Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and effective in a variety of settings.
Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
Organization and time management skills.
Basic computer skills.
May require significant face-to-face member contact, with duties regularly performed away from the principal place of business.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in behavioral health case management.
One year of experience in case/complex care field management.
LICSW.
Certified Case Manager (CCM).
Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
