About The Position
The Central Louisiana Human Services District (CLHSD) is seeking a Social Worker 3 or 4 to serve as the first point of medical contact at the Behavioral Health Clinic/Caring Choices Clinic in Leesville. This role involves creating a welcoming environment, completing health screenings, and taking medical histories. The CLHSD's vision is to ensure access to care for individuals needing behavioral health and developmental disability services across eight parishes. Their mission is to increase public awareness and provide access to integrated, community-based services that promote wellness, recovery, and independence. The CLHSD believes in person-centered healthcare that respects diversity and supports recovery, with a focus on early intervention and prevention.
Requirements
- Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- A master's degree in social work
- Two years of social services experience
Responsibilities
- Provides direct clinical services to patients and their families.
- Maintain a caseload.
- Conducts brief psychosocial evaluations.
- Maintain clinical records of caseloads.
