About The Position

This full-time position provides administrative and clinical leadership to staff in the outpatient Mental Health Program. The position operates as part of the Behavioral Health Leadership Team and contributes to leadership functions and decisions of the Behavioral Health Unit. The selected applicant must be willing and able to travel to all Worcester County Health Department sites and may be required to work evening and/or weekend hours. Recruitment is limited to current employees of the MDH Worcester County Health Department. The position is based at the MDH Worcester County Health Department in Snow Hill, Maryland.

Requirements

Education determined by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners under the licensing requirements for Social Workers.
Four years of experience rendering clinical social work services in a health care or treatment setting after receipt of an approved Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university.
Must hold a license as a Master Social Worker (approved for independent practice), Certified Social Worker, or Certified Social Worker-Clinical issued by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners.
Must possess an appropriate operator’s license valid in Maryland if assigned duties requiring operation of an automobile.
Recruitment is limited to current employees of the MDH Worcester County Health Department.

Demonstrated experience reviewing and evaluating case records to assess professional performance and ensure compliance with regulatory bodies.
Experience applying crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.

Responsibilities

Participate in leadership functions and decisions of the Behavioral Health Unit as part of the Behavioral Health Leadership Team.
Travel to Worcester County Health Department sites as required.
