This position is located in the Children Services Section and is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and supervising program compliance and standards for the Child Protective Services Section. The role involves monitoring the coding of social work time to ensure compliance with fiscal policies related to Child Protective Services Intake, Assessments, and Case Management. This position is part of the Management Team for the Child Protective Services Section. The Program Manager will plan programs to meet the needs of a multi-problem client population, interpret data in light of policy and procedure, project budget impact, and assess the need for developing and implementing new policies and procedures. Responsibilities include developing programs consistent with statute and state policy, revising policies to meet the needs of children and families, and advocating for legislation to strengthen or develop programs. The role also involves initiating and participating in the development of mechanisms for management reports on program and staff effectiveness, such as practice standards, reporting systems, fiscal accountability, and quality assurance measures. The Program Manager will manage and coordinate the operations of multiple teams providing child protective services, oversee extended duty and child protective services intake teams by directly supervising two Social Work Supervisor IIIs and one Social Work Supervisor II, and manage specialized projects as requested by Division Chiefs. The work schedule may vary as needed due to extended duty coverage. Duties may be expanded based on agency needs, and the position performs other related duties as required and assigned. This employee reports directly to the Division Chief of Child Protective Services.
