The School of Social Work at Salem State University is seeking a tenure-track Social Work Professor to begin in September 2027. This position will primarily focus on teaching within the BSW program, with opportunities to teach in the MSW program as well. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative faculty member dedicated to academic excellence, innovation, equity, and student success. Faculty responsibilities include teaching, academic advising, participation in university governance, committee work, program coordination, and curriculum development, with an emphasis on equity-minded teaching and transformative learning. Salem State University's School of Social Work serves approximately 500 students in both MSW and BSW programs. The MSW program focuses on integrated practice for health and behavioral health, while the BSW program offers a generalist social work education preparing students for social change, grounded in social justice, inclusion, diversity, and cultural humility.
