About The Position

The MESH Social Work Intern will identify the needs of youth and implement individual, group, and program strategies and interventions. This role involves providing individual counseling, case management, and/or mentoring for youth at assigned club site(s). The intern will also facilitate small groups focused on social and emotional learning skills, and assist in needs assessments of programs, grant proposal writings, and program evaluations based on need and experience. Additionally, the intern may assist with or lead staff training and perform other duties as assigned or based on expressed interest, allowing for flexibility and specific task accomplishment.

Requirements

• Enrolled in Social Work degree program at an accredited college or university
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge and practice of the Social Work Code of Ethics and Values

Responsibilities
