Rooted in Cathedral's Catholic Holy Cross tradition, the Social Studies Teacher provides classroom instruction with an emphasis in Economics and Psychology, including Advanced Placement Psychology when assigned. The position includes teaching five sections of Social Studies courses and working directly with the Social Studies Department as part of a Professional Learning Community (PLC). Demonstrating an unwavering commitment to academic excellence and to an education that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and the practical application of economic and psychological principles. As an educator you serve as the subject-matter expert, who maintains high academic standards and professional conduct while providing instruction that advances measurable student achievements. This position is a full-time, 10-month salaried exempt position, not subject to overtime pay. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00am - 3:45 p.m., with office hours beginning at 8:00 a.m. From time to time, the role may require a variable schedule to meet the needs of the position and to support school activities.
