Teach grades 9-12 social studies, which may include US History, World History, Citizen Washington and CWP. Plan, implement and evaluate classroom instruction based on the needs of the students while being consistent with building and district curriculum standards. Plan and provide appropriate learning experiences for students using Washington state standards-based materials, teaching strategies, and instructional design. Work collaboratively and collegially with other teachers. Establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to provide an orderly, productive, and safe environment for learning. Monitor and evaluate student outcomes. Supervise students in a variety of school-related settings. Communicate and interact with students, parents, staff and community members. Strive to maintain and improve professional competence. Maintain appropriate records and follow required procedures and practices. Attend meetings and conferences as required. Other related duties as assigned.
