About The Position

Arlington Public Schools is seeking a Social Studies Teacher to plan and deliver the social studies curriculum. This role involves incorporating differentiated instruction, utilizing various instructional strategies including technology, and collaborating with teacher teams to inform instruction through data. The teacher will communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff, and participate in professional development. Salary will be based on the FY2026-27 salary schedule. Requirements

• Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
• Social Studies endorsement.
• Experience working with high school students.
• Ability to interact collaboratively with students, school staff and parents.
• Proficiency with technology and an understanding of instructional applications of technology.
• Ability and experience with a diverse population of students.
• Ability to be flexible, dependable and highly organized.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
