About The Position

East Montana Middle School is seeking a Social Studies Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This position requires a Bachelor's degree, a valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements, and demonstrated competency in the assigned core academic subject area. A minimum of one year of student teaching or an approved internship is also required. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Government and Economics (History/Social Studies) and be able to teach Dual credit/studies through EPCC. The role involves knowledge of the assigned core academic subject, curriculum, and instruction, with the ability to instruct students and manage their behavior. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
• At least one year of student teaching or approved internship.
• Master's degree in Government and Economics (History/Social studies).
• Ability to teach Dual credit/studies through EPCC.
