About The Position

This is a 10-month position for the 2026-2027 school year. The role requires a thorough understanding of the subject matter taught, as well as elementary, secondary, or special education principles and practices. The teacher will be responsible for establishing and maintaining behavior standards, delivering clear oral and written communications, and fostering positive working relationships with students, staff, administration, and parents.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited college or university
• Possess or be eligible to acquire appropriate license(s) and/or endorsement(s) for position as required by the Virginia Department of Education and School Board
• Thorough knowledge of subject(s) taught
• Thorough knowledge of elementary, secondary or special education principles, practices and procedures
• Thorough knowledge of the principles and methodology of effective teaching
• Thorough knowledge of school division rules, regulations and procedures
