This supervisor is in the Access, Aging and Disability Division of Community Services that oversees and leads a team that consists of social workers, registered nurses and support staff. The staff in this area determine eligibility through the MnChoices assessment to people over the age of 65 or those who have disabilities. This supervisory position leads the MnChoices Reassessment Team, which is responsible for completing MnChoices reassessments across a broad population. While the team's primary focus is Rule 185 reassessments, it also completes other reassessment and assessment activities as needed. The supervisor provides leadership and operational oversight to ensure timely completion of assessments, supports collaboration across all MnChoices assessment teams, and helps respond to changing operational needs. This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field and five years of full-time work experience as a Social Worker in a human services agency. A Master's Degree in Social Work or related field may substitute for up to one year of required Social Worker experience. This position will be supervising services provided typically between 8:00am and 4:30pm Monday-Friday. This position offers teleworking and flexible hours that align with the business need. The Social Services Supervisor is responsible for the administration and supervision of Community Services programs, the interpretation, assessment and recommendation of policies and the supervision of assigned staff. Work may be assigned within different community service areas and have differing missions and goals.
