Social Services Floater

Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center•San Francisco, CA
•$26 - $30

About The Position

The Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center (BHNC) is seeking a flexible, compassionate, and resourceful Social Services Floater to provide direct support across our Senior Services and Service Connection programs. This is a dynamic position for someone who enjoys working with people, can adapt quickly, and is comfortable supporting different programs and community sites based on need. The Social Services Floater will help ensure continuity of services when programs experience staff vacancies, leaves, increased service demand, or other coverage needs. This is not a traditional position assigned to only one program. The Social Services Floater is part of BHNC's strategy to maintain strong, consistent services across our programs. Your primary assignment may change based on organizational and participant needs. Some weeks you may support senior services; at other times, you may assist the Service Connection team or provide short-term coverage where additional social service capacity is needed. For someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, community interaction, and learning different areas of nonprofit social services, this position offers an opportunity to make an impact throughout the organization.

  • Strong communication, organization, documentation, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Comfortable using computers and electronic systems for documentation and communication.
  • Dependable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
