About The Position

The Social Services - Call Center Agent receives and processes phone calls and written reports regarding alleged child abuse and neglect. This role requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, emotionally demanding call center environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited institution.
  • One year of social services or behavioral health experience.
  • Strong typing, computer, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.
  • Background check required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with call center systems and Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Screen and assess reports of alleged child abuse and neglect.
  • Conduct detailed phone interviews and gather relevant information.
  • Determine if reports meet statutory criteria for investigation.
  • Document calls and write clear, professional narratives.
  • Perform accurate, real-time data entry.
  • Cross-report cases to law enforcement and other agencies as required.
  • Provide professional, unbiased customer service to the public.
  • Adhere to assigned schedules, breaks, and shift requirements.
  • Work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
