About The Position

The Social Services Assistant provides medically related social services to attain or maintain the highest physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of our residents under the supervision of the Social Services Director.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (Social Services Designee Certificate required)
  • Strong passion for geriatric advocacy and commitment to senior care excellence.
  • Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to our residents, family members, customers and staff. Compassion, Accountability, Relationships and Excellence

Nice To Haves

  • associate or bachelor’s degree in social work or human services field preferred.
  • Previous social services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides medically related social services to attain or maintain the highest physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of our residents under the supervision of the Social Services Director.
  • Empathetic engagement with residents and families.
  • Clear, effective communication with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Conflict resolution and mediation skills.
  • Creating a comforting and engaging atmosphere for our residents.
  • Works with and promotes collaboration among departments, professionals, consultants, and organizations including government regulatory agencies.
  • The ability to work towards a common goal of excellent care for our residents.
