About The Position

The Social Services Coordinator - Multigenerational (Family & Older Adults) will facilitate services that positively enhance the quality of life for affordable housing residents. This role promotes an environment of cultural appreciation, a commitment to diversity, and resident involvement to enhance a safe and positive living environment. The coordinator will provide basic case management services and coordinate programs/events aimed at promoting Better Tomorrows’ 5 core focus areas: Health, Wellness and Nutrition; Academic Support, Financial Literacy, Job Readiness/Occupational Wellness, and Social and Community Engagement. This position is split between two locations: Mill Creek Gardens (2 days) and Catherine Todd Senior (3 days).

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and general computer software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project Planning Skills and Knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • Minimum one (1) to three (3) years’ work experience in Social Services or related field.
  • High School Diploma/GED required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, or related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of ETO or similar database experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate or coordinate programs, activities, and social services for children and adults utilizing community resources and agencies, including Out-of-School Time Programs, resident education programs, Job Readiness programs, financial literacy, health and wellness programs, and social engagement events.
  • Engage and develop community partnerships and/or volunteers to facilitate or support programming.
  • Lead on-site food distribution programs.
  • Create service goals and plans with residents, support them in achieving goals, monitor progress, and conduct wellness checks.
  • Develop and utilize resource files for making referrals for residents in need of specific services and provide follow-up.
  • Use data systems daily to track case management progress, demographic information, and monthly program attendance.
  • Publish and distribute monthly community newsletters and calendars to residents.
  • Provide customer service to partner property management, including assisting residents with lease compliance.
  • Follow Healthy Homes Program procedures to ensure resident compliance with housing inspections.
  • Manage, track, and use the site budget according to financial procedures.
  • Provide technical assistance to resident associations.
  • Attend mandatory training/conferences, which may require overnight stays.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work evenings and/or weekends for special events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
