The Department of Corrections is seeking a Social Service Clinician I to work inside in this fast passed, professional environment of the Little Sandy Correctional Complex. This position would be involved in the reentry planning and treatment of offenders in order to address their criminogenic needs and prepare them to reenter the community.
Requirements
- A master's degree in social work, sociology, psychology, marriage and family therapy or a related field.
- One year of professional social work experience.
- A bachelor's degree supplemented by three years of professional social work experience will substitute for the primary education and experience requirements.
- Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.

Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic services through the assessment of offender needs.
- Performs needs assessments, develop individual plans.
- Lead therapeutic groups and recreation activities.
- Cognitive counseling on a one-on-one basis.
- Coordinate with other program areas as needed.
- Tracks data and provides reports and statistical data as needed.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary planning and treatment planning.
