About The Position

Develops, implements, and manages a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the Credit Union's mission and growth objectives. This role involves enhancing our online brand presence, driving member engagement, and attracting new members by creating high-quality content across various social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and creating a Podcast Platform. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, collaborative team player with strong storytelling and analytical mindset and a passion for the financial services industry. This position will also actively contribute to advancing the Credit Union's Mission by enhancing the effectiveness of the Credit Union's philanthropy and supporting community outreach, media relations, local partnerships, special events, and volunteerism efforts.

Requirements

  • Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
  • A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
  • Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and storytelling skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies and insights.
  • Proficiency in content creation tools, including basic graphic design and video editing software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut).
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Light or low amount of physical exertion.
  • The position is based in-office in our Pensacola, Florida market, operates primarily in an office setting, and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones.
  • This position requires consistent presence in the office to collaborate with team members and fulfill job responsibilities effectively. It requires the ability to actively participate in conference calls and meetings with other Credit Union team members and vendors.
  • The normal expected work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30a.m. to 5:00p.m. After[1]hours work or travel required to meet project deadlines or attend conferences, seminars, or meetings.
  • Must adhere to safety rules and regulations

Responsibilities

  • Manage, create, and publish original, high-quality platform specific content, including graphics, videos (reels, stories), compelling copy, and podcasts ensuring brand consistency across all channels. Coordinate and maintain an ongoing social media content calendar.
  • Manage a comprehensive social media strategy that supports marketing campaigns and organizational goals. Identify emerging trends and new platforms to enhance engagement and expand audience reach.
  • Support Gulf Winds events through proactive communication and on-site volunteerism to generate content, build relationships, and maximize brand awareness.
  • Monitor social media channels daily, respond promptly and professionally to member inquiries, comments, and reviews, and foster positive relationships with the community.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs), such as engagement, reach, impressions, and conversions, using analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, Sprout Social). Prepare and present monthly reports with actionable insights and recommendations for optimization to leadership.
  • Plan and execute paid social media campaigns, including budget allocation and audience targeting, to maximize brand awareness and lead generation. Collaborate closely with the marketing team, other departments, and external partners to ensure a cohesive brand message and integrated marketing initiatives. Ensure all social media activities comply with relevant financial industry regulations and internal policies.
  • Stay up-to-date with new digital technologies, social media best practices, and competitive landscape to inform strategies and innovation.
