About The Position

The Social Media Specialist position is a highly experienced and knowledgeable resource accountable to the development and execution of organic social media content strategy, publishing and amplification. Using audience insights and trends, social platform operational and performance expertise, content calendar management, oversight of content development, and collaboration with contributors and stakeholders, it ensures fulfillment of the company’s goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Four to six years of social media communications or related experience
  • A strong understanding of marketing principles, advertising, and digital marketing
  • Solid understanding of major channels and social media platforms and their features (i.e. Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Reddit)
  • Demonstrates firm grasp of effective communication techniques
  • Contributes to strategic decision-making based on emerging trends
  • Solid understanding of creative asset strategy & content marketing principles
  • Demonstrates a good grasp of audience targeting, content optimization and cultural trends
  • Skilled in using data to identify patterns and optimize content for different channels and social media platforms
  • Demonstrates flexibility and agility in responding to evolving market trends or customer needs
  • Communicates and collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
  • Open to different perspectives and approaches, incorporating them into marketing & insights strategies
  • Actively seeks out and engages in continuous learning opportunities to expand knowledge and skills

Nice To Haves

  • Paid social media experience, managing platform ad accounts, boosting content, budget management, pacing and performance reporting
  • Skilled in analyzing data and identifying patterns to optimize content for different channels and social media platforms
  • Financial services and/or regulated industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of social media’s role in search and impact of AI on discoverability
  • Experience with social media scheduling and analytics tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Sprinkler, Sprout, Khoros)
