Job Summary: The Social Media Content Manager works alongside and reports to the Director of Creative Services department to ensure that OC’s foundation, beliefs and branding are marketed and strategized on social media platforms. The position requires a project management skill set to incorporate strategies and planning of projects that need to be completed for stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Active member of a local church
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Experience with social media platforms, content planning, and analytics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with digital marketing tools
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Google Ads, and social media advertising platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn)
  • Familiarity with project management systems (e.g., Zendesk or similar tools)
  • Desire to work in a team environment with the goal of serving the overall mission of the university community.

  • Photography experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute social media content strategies aligned with university goals
  • Create and maintain content calendars and campaign timelines
  • Monitor engagement, respond to inquiries, and track performance metrics
  • Generate regular reports on social media and campaign effectiveness
  • Collaborate with campus departments to support marketing initiatives
  • Ensure all content aligns with university branding standards
  • Manage social media accounts, access, and security
  • Identify opportunities for growth and adjust strategies as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
