About The Position

Direct Travel is seeking a strategic and creative Social Media Manager to join our Corporate Marketing team. Reporting to the Director of Content Strategy, this role will own and evolve Direct Travel’s social media presence across platforms, elevating brand voice, strengthening thought leadership, and driving engagement with corporate travel buyers and industry stakeholders. The ideal candidate is both a strong storyteller and an analytical thinker—someone who can shape narrative, execute with polish, and translate business priorities into compelling social content. This is a remote position, and applicants who are legally authorized to work in the US or Canada are welcome to apply.

Requirements

  • Degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline OR a portfolio demonstrating extensive professional social media experience
  • 4+ years of professional experience managing social media for a B2B brand, with demonstrated ownership of platform strategy and execution
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Proven ability to translate business priorities into engaging social narratives
  • Experience analyzing social performance data and optimizing based on insights
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US or Canada and have unrestricted work authorization

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the business travel industry or B2B space
  • Familiarity with Marketo, Monday, Sprout, or similar platforms
  • Experience creating graphics and videos for social media
  • Video and photo editing capabilities
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute engaging social media content to enhance brand awareness, drive engagement, and support marketing initiatives.
  • Develop platform-specific content that supports thought leadership, product launches, campaigns, and executive visibility.
  • Partner with the Marketing Writer to adapt long-form content into engaging, high-performing social narratives.
  • Manage and maintain a comprehensive social content calendar aligned with marketing priorities and business objectives.
  • Elevate and protect Direct Travel’s brand voice across platforms, ensuring clarity, consistency, and polish.
  • Monitor platform performance and partner with the GTM insights team to translate data into actionable improvements.
  • Identify opportunities for social innovation, including new formats, partnerships, and executive amplification strategies.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with influencers and other brand partners to expand social reach and enhance reputation.
  • Lead community engagement efforts, responding to comments and conversations in a timely, professional, and brand-aligned manner.
  • Support executive social presence, helping translate strategic messaging into compelling platform-native content.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Leadership teams to align social messaging with business priorities.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, platform updates, and evolving best practices to continuously improve performance.
