About The Position

Are you a storyteller who wants to use your digital skills for a cause that matters? At the Mid-Ohio Food Collective (MOFC), we believe that ending hunger requires a community effort. We're looking for a Social Media Intern who can go beyond the basics to create high-impact, authentic content. This is a hands-on role where you'll be in the field capturing real stories, experimenting with new trends, and helping us turn followers into advocates.

Requirements

• Currently studying Marketing, Communications, PR, or a related field.
• Comfortable with CapCut and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Proficient with native platform editors.
• Ability to write compelling captions that inspire action.
• Ability to manage own deadlines and take initiative.
• Examples of social media work or video content produced (portfolio).

Responsibilities

• Develop and post engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X.
• Capture photos and videos at markets and community events to bring the mission to life.
• Film and edit Reels and TikToks, including choosing appropriate audio.
• Collaborate with the graphic designer to ensure a cohesive and visually compelling social feed.
• Manage community engagement by responding to comments and building connections with supporters.
• Track social media trends in the nonprofit space and use analytics to understand audience engagement.
